Scènes de la Vie de Bohème was a shoot for my midterm for my Commercial and Editorial Styling class, taught by professional stylist Sadia Seymour. The prompt was to do a commercial photoshoot for a brand of my choosing. I chose Chloé for its playful, yet chic clothing and commercial photoshoots. The garments are a collection of garments from friends, and the jewelry is a combination of garments I’ve collected whilst traveling, pieces from NYC-based jewelry designer Tears Drop, and Georgia-based hair jewelry designer Silver to Strands. The title, meaning Scenes of Bohemian Life in French, is from the 1851 collection of short stories by French novelist Henri Murger, depicting 1840s life in Paris’ Latin Quarter during the original bohemian craze.
